ABOUT ID
Aloha and welcome to Island Doggie! ID is a specialty line of dog harnesses and accessories handmade by local designer and owner, Shelsea, in Honolulu, Hawaii. It's more than just the typical "Hawaiian" print. She carefully selects fabrics with prints that reflect the island lifestyle and many cultures of Hawaii. The first ID harness was made in September 2011 when she had trouble finding functional and stylish harnesses for her dogs. She introduced the Loop-Thru Harness (patent pending), an ID original creation, in December 2011. Thanks to Joey and Bugz, her mascots and models, for being the inspiration in the design and development process of the harnesses.

Every paper pattern is originally designed by owner, Shelsea, and then cut and sewn. She deligently works hard to make sure she's putting a quality product out there for your precious family friend. If the fit isn't right, she wants to know about it so she can rectify the issue. Not only does she want to make sure you're happy with your purchase, she also wants to remind owners how to properly care for their pets and teach others to do the same. A mini checklist of "How to be a Responsible Pet Owner" comes with every purchase along with treats from Hawaii Doggie Bakery.

DOGGIES
We recommend training your doggie with a lead and collar prior to taking them to busy parks and streets. This will ensure your doggie doesn't pull and strain his neck or slip out of their collar when walking. The Loop-Thru Harness is meant to securely embrace your pet while alleviating some stress. It is placed under your dogs girth and looped around their neck and waist with velcro. A d-ring is sewn at the end of the back loop for easy leash attachment. This is especially comfortable for small and toy breeds such as Chihuahua's, Miniature Pinschers, Jack Russell Terrier's, and Maltese's. As the business continues to grow, we would like to donate 2% of our profits to local animal shelters. We believe if these shelters receive sufficient funding, then they’ll be able to keep up with maintenance and continue to provide excellent care for dogs until they find a forever home.
